Little Acorns Pre-school is 'home from home' where children are encouraged to play and eat together in mixed development groups, whilst at the same time ensuring they have plenty of opportunities to learn and develop in their peer groups.

We offer first class care, in a stimulating and safe environment, which allows children to develop naturally and learn social skills through nurture and play. We enable the development of self-esteem, self-confidence, discipline and independence, by using both structured and spontaneous play and encouraging children to use their own imagination and creativity.

Management and Key Staff are all fully Paediatric First Aid trained, with all staff having an excellent understanding of allergies.

Built with love by mychildcare.co.uk

Indoors we have two rooms where we enjoy many fun and engaging activities. The ethos underpinning all we do is ‘learning through play’.

At Little Acorns we are inclusive and offer children a stimulating environment where their individuality is respected and valued.

We promote a child-centred approach to learning, as we endeavour to ensure every child develops and reaches their full potential on their Learning Journey.

About - Little Acorns Preschool - Childcare in Kingsmere

We have a playground area outside, where we do PE based activities and also where children can simply move freely and have access to a variety of learning experiences.

Adjacent to the playground is the Community Sensory Garden, which we use to grow seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as flowers. Here the children can explore and investigate the world around them, sit and explore books in our reading area, build dens and obstacle courses and so much more.

About - Little Acorns Preschool - Childcare in Kingsmere

We have a great deal of outdoor space. A garden area directly off of the Pre-school rooms, which are always open for free flow activities and include two beautifully hand made Mud Kitchens, water play, construction and investigative play areas.

We use the local parks and woods, visiting these in small groups. We also encourage the children to come to the shop with us to buy our daily snacks where they are able to use and handle money and experience buying things for themselves.

We have regular Yoga sessions led by our Physical Development Lead and weekly, Coach Rob from Rugbytots Thame and Bicester comes to coach the children and run Rugbytots classes (please note this is an additional cost).
